Window Handle Components

As you can see in the image below, a window handle consists of an aluminium lever, base cover, base, square spindle, and two screws.

Aluminium Lever

The aluminium lever is the handle that the user holds to open the window. There are many options available for this component. There are many things to consider when making a choice, such as color, length, and design.

When ordering window handles, you should choose ones that are suitable for your window. The handle should match the RAL color code of the PVC profile. If the window is large, you should choose our larger, heavier products, not our smaller, more economical options.

Both a small and a large window handle can be mounted on the same window, but using a small handle to open and close a large window will be difficult for the user.

Base Cover

The base cover is a part designed to cover the base component. It acts as a lid. When rotated, it provides access to the mounting screws. Thanks to this design, the screws are not visible once the window handles are installed.

Base

Window handles have a base containing mechanisms. This part includes mechanisms that determine the degree of rotation of the aluminium lever, produce sounds, provide safety, or allow for incremental rotation. The choice of base is always made according to the customer’s requirements.

Square Spindle

A square spindle is a square-shaped rod made of steel. One end is inserted into an aluminium lever, while the other end is long enough to accommodate an espagnolette. It fits into the square-shaped hole in the espagnolette lock and, when rotated causes the pins on the espagnolette to move.
